Get the Dots converts readable Western staff notation and recorded melodies into PDF, LilyPond and MIDI. Review all generated music before relying on it; transcription can contain mistakes.

Google provides your account identifier, name and verified email to sign you in. Your uploads and results are private to your account. Pages, audio-derived pitch-and-time images and transcription instructions go to OpenAI for processing. Stripe handles card details; this site receives payment confirmation and keeps a credit ledger.

A personal API key is stored encrypted on the server and never returned to the browser. You can remove it in Account. We keep source files and results for 30 days, then remove the files. Account and payment records are retained to operate the service.

One free transcription is available per account per UTC calendar month, up to four pages or two minutes of audio, subject to processing capacity. Credits cover one source page or started 30 seconds of uploaded audio each. The full uploaded recording determines the price, even if your notes request only one section. Corrections to existing scores are free, with limits of 10 attempts per score and 20 per account in any 24 hours. Attempts include retries and unsuccessful corrections. Failed and rejected jobs restore credits or the free allowance. Personal-key requests may still incur OpenAI charges. Only upload music you have the right to transcribe. Don’t use the service to submit unrelated material or automated bulk traffic.
